Resolved Question: Question about passing MEPS FBI/Fingerprint check?

My situation: I have had a history of being commited to a mental hospital "WIC 5150" for 72 hour hold when I was 18 years old. This entails in a 5 year CA state firearm ban. However I went to the Suprior Court and had my rights restored and am no longer banned. I am pretty sure that mental records are sent to the FBI since the Department of Justice knows. I called the DOJ and they said my mental institution history is purged and give only a yes or a no on the system whether I am eligibile for firearm. The question is does the FBI also know that my firearm rights are restored and no longer banned? I also need to know if my 5150 mental instution will show up on FBI check. Thank you.... Read More »
